GearJot — Asset Management Platform

GearJot is a fleet and asset management platform designed for companies that rely on heavy equipment, field teams, and complex logistics. Their goal is to make tracking, maintaining, and managing assets easier with real-time data and a mobile-first experience. Crafy partnered with GearJot to redesign and rebuild their platform from the ground up, helping them modernize operations and scale to meet growing customer needs.

GearJot set out to transform how companies track and manage their equipment. Their vision was to bring telematics from a wide range of assets into one clear, easy-to-use platform. The goal was to build a system that worked for everyone—from managers at headquarters to field operators on remote job sites—making real-time data accessible anytime, anywhere.

We started by digging deep into how GearJot’s existing system was being used. Working closely with their team, we mapped user journeys, identified key workflows, and prioritized the features that mattered most to their customers. This research gave us a clear blueprint for designing a platform that would be intuitive, reliable, and ready to scale.

Once the foundation was in place, we moved quickly into prototyping and full design. We introduced a refreshed, modern interface with a focus on simplicity and speed. The platform was built using React for a fast, component-driven experience. Key features included real-time aggregated telematics, geofence tracking, smart maintenance workflows, and offline capabilities—all designed to minimize downtime, improve safety, and lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

The result is a powerful, easy-to-use platform that gives GearJot’s customers complete visibility into their assets, jobs, and teams—whether they’re across town or across the world. The upgraded system has helped cut unauthorized equipment use, improve compliance, and reduce operational downtime. GearJot’s new platform now supports faster decisions, smarter maintenance, and stronger bottom-line results.
